What are you going to do?

You work in our Germination Team and are involved in:

• Sowing, harvesting and washing sprouts
• Packing fresh produce

Food Innovation Internship: Smart Testing for Smarter Sprouts

At Happy Sprouts in Broek op Langedijk, everything revolves around power food in mini size. We grow over 20 varieties of sprouts, from alfalfa to broccoli, which are packed with nutrients and shipped fresh across Europe every day. Innovative, sustainable, and active 365 days a year.

What will you do?
Food safety is our top priority. That’s why we test our raw materials, semi-finished, and final products daily for harmful microorganisms. Legally required? Absolutely. But we go further than that. During your internship, you’ll dive into our specialized microbiological testing protocol. How can this process be made smarter, faster, and (potentially) more cost-efficient without compromising on food safety?

Your mission:
Research how we can optimize the testing frequency per sprout variety. Analyse the risks, review historical data, and deliver a practical and strategic recommendation that works.
