What are you going to do?

As a Packing Team Leader, you'll lead approximately 40 colleagues daily, across 10 packing lines. Together, you'll be responsible for packaging fresh sprouts that are ready for shipment to our customers. You'll ensure everything runs smoothly—both literally and figuratively.

Every day is different. Does a customer order more than expected? Are there technical challenges? You maintain an overview, step in where needed, and ensure the work continues. We give you the freedom to contribute ideas, improve, and implement your ideas. Your dedication and responsibility truly make the difference.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• • You ensure that the packaging process runs smoothly and monitor progress, quality and efficiency.

• • You are responsible for the timely and correct delivery of products according to customer agreements.

• • You manage the daily packaging process and ensure efficient deployment of personnel and resources.

• • You prepare the staff schedule on a weekly basis and take deployability and occupancy into account;

• • You train new colleagues, coach the team and encourage a positive and safe working atmosphere.

• • You actively contribute to the further professionalization and automation of the department.

What will you do at the Cultivation?

You'll perform various tasks related to sowing, harvesting, washing, and cleaning sprouts. You'll learn these tasks step by step from an experienced colleague.

Where are you going to work?

Van der Plas is a family business that grows and packages sprouts. You'll work in a friendly, dynamic team with peers. We work hard, but we also have a lot of fun. Fresh sprouts and fruit are available in our cafeteria every day. Several times a year, we organize fun activities like a food truck, barbecue, or drinks. What will you earn?

Between €8.13 and €14.79 per hour (depending on your age).
This amount excludes allowances according to the collective labor agreement for greenhouse horticulture.

What are you going to do when the Packing?
You'll be hand-packing our freshly grown sprouts on a packaging line. We'll explain how. Once you gain more experience, you can learn to operate the machine and progress to the automated packaging lines.
